For us, it's personal.

We understand that it’s common to have moments when you feel alone, panicked, sorrowful or are finding it difficult to cope. Overwhelming emotions can come on for many reasons, or for no reason at all. And we’re here to help you through those moments, with tools that ensure you’re confident enough to eventually face them on your own in positive and productive ways.

What is Counselling?

Counselling is based on building a strong and productive interpersonal relationship between an individual and their counsellor. Our process involves exploring and resolving issues that are personal, interpersonal or intrapsychic (inner confliction) in nature.Counselling provides confidential support to people of all ages and backgrounds, so everything you discuss is private and safe from negativity, judgement or cultural misunderstanding.

Counsellors are trained, objective professionals who offer different types of assistance with, most frequently, talking-based styles of therapy. Often they work in partnership with a GP or other health professional to give their clients integrated, holistic and comprehensive care.

Who Can Benefit From Counselling?

Anyone! Visiting a counsellor is just like visiting your GP for a check-up, but for your general mental wellbeing. Counselling and therapy is not just provided for people with diagnosed mental health disorders. We work with anyone who feels they’re mental health is compromised and is looking to improve this, in particular for social and emotional areas of their lives.

Counselling can help you understand challenges around relationship dynamics, plus help families deal with shared issues and generational trauma to create better connections with each other and the community.

At Butter Fish Services® it’s all about you.

For some people, just the process of telling their story to a counsellor and being listened to is beneficial.

How Can Counselling Help?
